The price is supposed to rise again next month I believe. During the backlash about the USB port removal on the Macbooks, they trashed their own pricing in what they claimed to be an apology to the market. The Apple adapter was double the price until about a few months back. The Apple has a few issues that have been noted, with the first one I have in mind being the UAD kit doesn't like it (the is an FAQ entry on this on the UAD site), which honestly surprised me given Apples Thunderbolt heritage. Lycom landed first and has worked with everything I've thrown at it. Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter - AppleĪs does this, although I have no clue why it's so expensive.
